If you are a user of devices on the Android OS, then you have probably already heard about root or installing ClockworkMod Recovery , which allows you to get full access to the Android file system with the ability to edit. In fact, having ClockworkMod Recovery and Root rights on your device will help you improve the functionality of your device on the Android OS
All actions described below you do at your own risk (!)
I want to warn you in advance that all actions to obtain Root rights are suitable only (!) for devices on a chip from MediaTek, for example MT6577 or MT8377. Operability on other chips is not guaranteed.
To receive Root is right on a device with a chip MediaTek you need to download a couple of programs
MTK Droid Tools — a program for obtaining root, creating backups, and much more.
SP Flash Tools — firmware update program
SU script — the script itself for obtaining Root rights.
You can download ClockworkMod Recovery Here
Have you downloaded it? Well, let's get started.
Getting ROOT rights
Turn on the tablet. Open the settings, find the developer option and check the box next to “USB debugging” (developer options—> USB debugging).
Connect to the computer. If the system itself does not install the drivers, then install them manually through the device manager.
Installing drivers
Download and unpack archive with drivers
Right-click on the "My Computer" icon and select "Device Manager" or "Control-Device Manager". Now in the list that opens, find "Unknown Device" or a device with a yellow question mark. Right-click on it and select "Update Driver" in the open window, select Manual Installation or Search on this computer, then select Installation from the specified location. Click "Browse" and select the unpacked folder. Click "Select" then "Next". Wait for the system to install the drivers.
Creating a ROM file
Launch the MTK Droid Tools program and click on "Block Map" and save the scatter file. We will need it soon.
Let's launch the program SP Flash Tools and add our scatter file.
- Now let's go to the Read Back tab
- Click Add and specify the location to save the ROM
- A new item will appear, click on it to edit. If there is more than one item, then delete all of them and click Add again.
A window will open
Now we need to change the information in Lenght. To do this, open our scatter file with any text editor and find the inscription RECOVERY in it. After this inscription there is usually a set of numbers (RECOVERY 0x1588000), which you need to copy and paste into Lenght and click OK.
Now we turn off our tablet. In the SP Flash Tools program, press read back
Connect the switched off tablet to the computer. The process should start
A pop-up window will notify you of successful completion.
Creating ClockworkMod Recovery
Connect the switched-on tablet to the computer and open the MTK Droid Tools program. Go to the tab "roor, backup, recovery" and click on "Create a backup from ROM_ flashtool"
Now the program will ask you to specify first our created ROM, then the modified recovery
After the process is completed, a backup folder will appear in the folder with the MTK Droid Tools program, which will contain the 2 files we need (scatter file and recovery) to install CWM Recovery
Open and copy them to a separate folder
Now all that remains is a small matter
Launch the Flash Tools reflashing program
Select the Scatter file which we recently copied to a separate folder.
Check the box ONLY next to Recovery and specify the recently copied recovery file
Click Download and connect the switched-off tablet to the computer.
The program should flash a new recovery. If everything went well, a green circle will appear.
Now turn on the tablet and upload CWM-SuperSU-v0.96.zip to the built-in memory
Turn off the tablet.
Launch Recovery Mode by holding down the power button and volume VOL+
In CWM Recovery, select “Install zip from sdcard” and “choose zip from internal sdcard”
Select CWM-SuperSU-v0.96.zip and click install
Reboot your tablet
After rebooting, your device will be rooted.
If something doesn't work, write in the comments and I will answer as best I can.
Good luck.
